Increase funding for Animal Shelters

The Issue

Animal homelessness is a major issue in the UK at this moment. Thousands of animals are alone, abandoned and left to fend for themselves. Did you know that according to PETA UK,  at any given time, there are an estimated 100,000 dogs – and countless cats – without homes in the UK? These innocent lives should not be ruined due to the ignorance of people. As a community, we must help each animal find a safe environment to live in.

The way to solve this crisis is simple. By increasing the amount of animal shelters in our area, and in the country as a whole, it would significantly reduce the amount of homeless animals on the streets. Furthermore, it would protect animals from being hurt by people with malicious intents or being injured in accidents involving moving vehicles in the street. Animal shelters can also provide medical help to animals that are sick or seriously injured, reducing death rates. By increasing funding, the quality of the shelters will also be improved, making them more pleasant for animals.

Already, amazing organisations such as the Wood Green Pets Charity and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home are helping to save animals. It is possible to save and improve even more lives of animals by working together to get more funding for these animal shelters.

If we act now, we can seriously reduce the amount of animals that are homeless and make sure they have safe and loving homes. Please sign this petition to prevent these innocent animals from suffering and to promote the protection of animals.
