We, the undersigned residents of Wyoming County and New York State, call on the New York State Legislature and the Governor to immediately increase and direct funding to veteran services in Wyoming County.  With 7% of our county comprised of veterans - placing us 41st in state by veteran percentage - and with tragically high veteran suicide rates, Wyoming County must receive equitable and sustained resources for mental health care, crisis response, housing, transportation, peer support, telehealth, and benefit navigation.  

We demand:

  - Increased state funding targeted directly to Wyoming County Veteran programs

  - A mobile outreach and crisis response team dedicated to veterans in rural areas.

  - Expansion of peer support, case management, housing assistance, and telehealth access.

  - Accountability reporting that measures reductions in veteran suicide, increased benefit uptake, and improvements in housing and employment outcomes.
