Increase Frequency of Bus Services on the 80 and 80a Routes in Liverpool

Increase Frequency of Bus Services on the 80 and 80a Routes in Liverpool
The Issue
We live in an area highly populated by diverse groups of people, from mothers with babies to the elderly, and the bus services on routes 80 and 80a from Liverpool Airport and South Parkway station to Liverpool One, and vice versa, are immensely inadequate in serving our community. This insufficiency has impacted us all disproportionally when compared to users of other routes. It's distressing that for every 80 and 80a bus, there are at least six 86 buses, which directly influences the timely commuting of locals. Our situation is worsened with a reduced frequency on weekdays, abrupt cancellations, common late arrivals, and complete unavailability on Sundays. This is not just about inconvenience; it's about fairness in public transportation.
Public transport is a lifeline for many, especially in a city as bustling as Liverpool. Based on 'Travel to Work in the UK Cities', a report by Centre for Cities, Liverpool is within the top 10 cities in the UK with the highest public transportation usage. This makes it essential for the public transportation system to function efficiently and equitably across all regions and routes.
We, the users and residents affected by the current service scenario of routes 80 and 80a, urge the local transportation authorities to consider our plea seriously. Please increase the frequency of these buses and ensure regular, reliable services on these routes throughout the week. It is time for a change that reassures everyone in our community that their needs are acknowledged and addressed equally. Please sign this petition to support our call for improved public transportation services on the 80 and 80a routes in Liverpool.
