Increase Dedicated Pickleball Courts in Public Parks in Madison, WI

The Issue

As residents of Madison, pickleball is much more than a game for us; it's a community activity that brings together people of all ages. Currently, public pickleball courts in our town are limited. We often have to rely on private courts by country clubs or pools for our matches. This situation, unfortunately, excludes many of our fellow citizens who lack the resources or the access to these private facilities.

Pickleball, a sport growing immensely in popularity, now counts over 3.3 million participants across the country, according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA, 2020). Despite this remarkable growth, Madison's public parks have not kept pace with the demand for dedicated pickleball courts.

By increasing the number of pickleball courts in our public parks, we not only promote physical activity and social interaction, but also create an inclusive space for all citizens to enjoy.

Let's make pickleball accessible to everyone. Sign this petition and encourage the Madison town council to increase the number of dedicated pickleball courts in our public parks. Together, we can create an inclusive community through sports.
