Include TS2023 Work Permit Holders in the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program

The Issue

Dear supporters,

We, the undersigned, Canadian Work Permit holders in Alberta under the scope of Turkish Earthquake immigration, passport and citizenship measures (TS2023), urgently seek your support for a change that could positively impact our lives and the province as a whole. We have initiated this petition to urge the Alberta government to include TS2023 Work Permit holders in the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program without the requirement of a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program has played a vital role in attracting skilled individuals to contribute to the growth and diversity of the province. As TS2023 Work Permit holders, we have been actively working and integrating into the Alberta workforce, bringing valuable skills and experiences to the local community.

Unfortunately, TS2023 Work Permit holders are currently excluded from the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program without the option to bypass the LMIA process. This exclusion places an additional burden on our ability to pursue a more permanent status in Alberta, hindering our contributions to the province's economic and cultural development.

Our Request:

We are urging the Alberta government to extend the benefits of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program to TS2023 Work Permit holders, waiving the LMIA requirement, similar to the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel(CUAET) program. The earthquake in Turkey, akin to the situation in Ukraine, has significantly impacted lives.

How You Can Help:

By signing this petition, you are supporting our cause and urging the Alberta Government to consider and implement the inclusion of TS2023 Work Permit holders in the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program without the requirement of an Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). Your signature can make a significant difference in creating a more inclusive and diverse Alberta.

What We Aim to Achieve:

Recognition of TS2023 Work Permit holders' contributions to the province.
Alignment with the principles of fairness and equal opportunity upheld by the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program. Strengthening Alberta's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.

Next Steps:

After reaching our signature goal, we plan to submit this petition to the Alberta government, advocating for the necessary changes to benefit TS2023 Work Permit holders and enhance the overall prosperity of Alberta.

Thank you for your support! Your signature matters. Stand with us in making a positive change for TS2023 Work Permit holders and for the continued growth and success of Alberta.

Sincerely,

Murat Saglam
