The Issue

Like millions of fans worldwide, I turn to Julia Quinn's cherished Bridgerton series for its rich, engaging narratives and lovely characters. However, recent suggestions about changing Michael Stirling to Michaela Stirling, Benedict Bridgerton's sexual controversy, and the potential spouse changes for the Bridgerton siblings have left us concerned about future developments.

We, the loyal fans, urge the creators to consider our plea to incorporate the character of 'Michael Stirling' and not 'Michaela Stirling' into this beloved series. Chart-topping books like 'When he was wicked', where he plays a pivotal role, should remain as such for the screen adaptation.

Moreover, we fear any drastic alterations to Benedict Bridgerton's personality. We understood his struggle with societal and familial expectations, yet any inclination towards making him a sex addict and bisexual is not necessary.

Lastly, the Bridgertons always stood as a cohesive, loving family unit. The bond between the siblings and their respective spouses was an exceptional highlight of the series. Any changes to that dynamic could potentially harm the core of Bridgerton's essence.

If you don't want to include Michael - keep John! 😉

Let's keep the essence of these treasured characters intact, and give millions of fans globally the story they love, as it was originally told. Please sign this petition to make our voices heard.
