The Loyalist Accessible Transportation Program is a broken system.

This current system has Amey's Taxi and Modern City Taxi verified and authorized to provide subsidized accessible transportation.

LATP riders have experienced consistent, ongoing issues including,

 Excessive and Unreliable Wait Times : It is a common practice for LATP riders to request a ride, wait for over 30 minutes and discover upon calling back that their call was never dispatched at all. 

Hostile Customer Service :  LATP riders frequently encounter rude or angry behavior from dispatchers. In several instances, dispatchers have hung up on riders calling for a taxi. 

Taxi Call Denials and Call Blocking : Dispatchers have blocked the phone numbers of some LATP riders, leaving them stranded without a way home.  Riders are often told  wrongfull information that daily program call limits have been reached and are expected to pay out of pocket full cash rates. 

There is new Limestone City Taxi now serving Kingston plus has Accessible Taxis. Limestone City Taxi claims to be fast, local and reliable.
