As a government school student who had the opportunity to receive an offer from a renowned company like Microsoft, I comprehend the importance of computer science in the world we live in. Unveiling the path of my journey has revealed the stringent criteria used by top software companies to hire candidates. Understanding this, I am proposing a much-needed transformation: the inclusion of computer science in the IIT JEE examination instead of chemistry.

The benefits of this switch are manifold. As computer science fosters a sense of logical thinking and problem-solving, it not only enables students to perform better in competitive programming but also contributes significantly to their pursuit of global competitions like IOI, ACM ICPC, etc.

Implementing this change will not only boost the technical talent within the country but create employment opportunities for lakhs of people. Currently, 2.5 lakh students appear for IIT JEE each year for 10,000 seats, hinting at its enormous impact potential.

If we make these changes to the IIT JEE format, the effects would be transformative: we would foster a new generation of tech talents who could win global competitions and contribute significantly to the software industry in our country.
