Robert F Kennedy Jr., amongst numerous other 3rd party candidates, was not permitted to participate on the CNN debate stage. This significantly impairs their chances of winning the election, which undermines the principles of democracy.

In recent years, we've seen an incremental narrowing down of presidential debates, particularly those on mainstream networks. This limiting practice suppresses the diversity of political discourse and stifles democratic voter choice. It's a well-known fact that media exposure boosts candidate recognition and helps swing the polling needle. According to the American National Election Studies, voters are more likely to vote for candidates they recognize and know about.

Given this fact, it's only fair and democratic that all legit presidential candidates get equal opportunity to be known and heard - an opportunity that a debate stage like that of ABC can offer. Considering multiple options is the very essence of democracy and this should reflect in our electoral debates.
