Thanks for your email, we truly appreciate your concern for wildlife. We are aware of the recent coyote encounter at the Fortress of Louisbourg, and it is our understanding that Parks Canada (with support from our Department as needed) will be implementing public and visitor education to reduce attractants and discourage behaviours that could lead to human-wildlife conflict. Hazing may be implemented in future only if deemed necessary, and there are no plans to kill coyotes.
