The humane no kill outcome to the sightings

Please be advised that no areas of the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site are currently closed due to coyote activities, although the road to Kennington Cove is closed to vehicle traffic for the remainder of the season, due to damage sustained in last week's rainstorm. 

There are no plans to trap or snare coyotes. Parks Canada staff members may attempt to haze the coyote(s) in the future, and we will continue to advise visitors of proper behaviours which aim to reduce human-wildlife conflict.
