Every day, thousands of OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) applicants are stuck in a loop of frustration and despair due to Consulate General of India's lack of transparency in communication and a booking system that seems more chaotic than systematic. I've personally witnessed friends and relatives languishing for weeks, waiting for a response or an appointment, only to find themselves back at square one. 

- **Transparency in communication:** We urge Consulate General of India to establish clear, consistent, and timely communication channels for applicants. Automated alerts for appointment scheduling, status updates, and estimated wait times would provide much-needed peace of mind.
- **Improve the booking system:** The current booking system needs a comprehensive overhaul. Implementing a user-friendly, robust online system that can handle the volume of daily requests should be a priority. Ensuring it runs smoothly will help alleviate the backlog and reduce applicant frustration.

This issue affects a significant portion of the community who rely on  Consulate General of India for their OCI applications. It's time for action to make the process efficient and stress-free. With transparency and a functional booking system, applicants can focus on what truly matters: their aspirations and connections with their homeland.
