You have probably noticed that over the weekend, the garage added 8 accessible spaces on each floor. Of course, the ones on the second floor have not changed in size and number and appear to remain noncompliant with ADA regulations. But no VIP parking spots were lost, which was the point. As for the ones on the higher floors, some are van accessible. Those who park there have to hope that the elevators will run so that they can get to the hospital entrance. And, you can’t make this up: they painted the blue line right over the crumbling concrete as the photo shows. 
Now that parking will be even more difficult, we must insist that VIP parking spaces be removed from those with no need for them.
