Improve syllabus completion for 9th grade students
Improve syllabus completion for 9th grade students
The Issue
In my school, students of both English and Hindi mediums are struggling with incomplete syllabuses, especially as we approach our midterm exams. As a 9th class student from the English medium, I find myself in a challenging situation. While my Social Science textbook and curriculum (SST) are in Hindi, my instruction is in English, making it difficult for me and my classmates to prepare effectively for our exams.
This situation is not only affecting my performance but also the performance of my fellow students. We are all worried about our midterm exams, as the syllabus completion appears to be lagging behind. Compounding this issue, the second term syllabus for Mathematics has not even been released yet. This lack of timely and accessible educational resources is creating a huge obstacle for us.
We need a practical solution to ensure that both English and Hindi medium students in our school receive adequate opportunities to learn and succeed. It would be tremendously beneficial if:
1. Teachers receive adequate support to cover the syllabus effectively for both language mediums. Strategies could include providing additional bilingual supplementary materials, or hiring bilingual teaching assistants.
2. The second term syllabuses are released promptly, so students and teachers have sufficient time to cover all necessary materials.
3. The administration conducts periodic assessments to ensure syllabus completion is on track, providing additional resources or time when necessary.
Quality education is a fundamental right for all students, regardless of the language they choose to study in. Completing the academic syllabus on time is crucial for our learning and future academic success.
By signing this petition, you're supporting students like me, who are striving for a comprehensive and uninterrupted education. Let’s urge our school administration to take immediate action and provide effective solutions to ensure that we are well-prepared for our exams. Please sign this petition and help us make a difference. Thank you.
