Improve Sidewalk Coverage in Logansport

The Issue

Sign to support the addition and refurbishing of our sidewalks! Logansport pedestrians are often impeded by a lack of sidewalk infrastructure. When walking around the city, one must often take an inconvenient route or risk getting hit by a car. People with disabilities are also impeded by this, because long stretches of thin curb, cracked sidewalk, or just grass can be impassible for those who are wheelchair or walker bound.

By increasing the budget for sidewalks and taking initiative to build more walking paths, our city will quickly become more walkable. Pedestrians will be much safer and could save a lot of time with more sidewalk. Better walking infrastructure would also make our city more environmentally positive, as people would feel more encouraged to walk or bike.

Investing in better walkways now is the right choice. We need to take initiative and fix our infrastructure now. Acting as soon as possible will allow for our city to more quickly be more walkable and a haven for pedestrians.
