Improve Road Safety on Mountain View Corridor

Improve Road Safety on Mountain View Corridor
The Issue
Aiden Langston 17-year-old was driving home the night before graduation may 30th. He ran a red light wearing no seatbelt, and a Toyota sienna traveling southbound hit Aiden ultimately killing him. At the same intersection 23-year-old Antonio Mireles, 24-year-old Jessica Mireles, and 21-year-old Lizbeth Rodriguez were in a red sedan that ran a red light at the 3500 South intersection on the night of March 8, and said they're car was hit by a southbound vehicle in The Mountain View Corridor in Herriman. UT has become notorious for car crashes, causing numerous injuries and fatalities. According to the Utah Department of Transportation, there have been over 200 accidents reported in the last year alone. This is unacceptable and preventable.
We need immediate action to improve road safety measures, including better lighting, clearer signage, and increased law enforcement presence. These changes can save lives and prevent future tragedies.
Please sign this petition to urge local authorities to take necessary steps for safer roads in our community.
