As a student, I've personally experienced the poor quality of school lunches. The meals are often unappetizing and lack the necessary nutrients for growing children. This is not just my personal experience but a widespread issue that affects millions of students across the country.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), students who eat full, nutritious meals have better grades, attendance, cognitive performance, and behavior. Yet many schools fail to provide such meals. Additionally, not all families can afford to pay for school lunches which adds an unnecessary burden on them.

We are calling on our local government officials and school administrators to take immediate action in improving the nutritional value of our school lunches. We also urge them to make these meals free for all students regardless of their family's income level.

The health and well-being of our nation's children should be a top priority. Let us ensure they receive proper nutrition during their crucial years of growth without adding financial stress on their families. 8 states including Minnesota, New Mexico, Colorado, Vermont, Michigan, and Massachusetts have free lunches but 8 states is not enough students all over the world should have excess to free lunches.
