Hi everyone,

A friend of a friend who works for NHS Blood and Transplant recently informed me that although NHSBT has strict rules regarding blood safety, the NHS has been known to make some decisions in haste. Those decisions include withdrawing fit and healthy donors because of technical issues.

The friend had some information forwarded to me about how fit and healthy donors who have been suspended/withdrawn from active service could be reinstated. I have updated my petition to include a link to section 9.4 of JPAC guidelines for the Blood Transfusion services in the UK.
