The fight is still on for change, it is just a shame it keeps getting the it's their issue take it up with them or excuses like the traffic has reduced since the ring road has been put in. Well ummm this last 12mths or so, covid restrictions, less interstate travellers. We do however still have a growing community north of the intersection Weston Street/ Woolcock Street/ Bruce Hwy. That still use this road.

So after nearly 4 years, (7pm 4th Aug 2017) the death of a young lady at the roundabout on Bayswater Rd and Crestbrook Dr Mount Louisa and now the new walking tracks, the council's decided to put lighting in for people's safety along that stretch of Bayswater Rd to Weston St.

So if the statistics are correct, in that same year 2017, there were planned lights for the intersection of Weston Street/ Woolcock Street/ Bruce Hwy.

Does that mean this is our year or do we have to wait another 3yrs since the loss of life in 2019 at the Weston Street/ Woolcock Street/ Bruce Hwy intersection.

The government can spend money to update new lack of parking at the new Mount Louisa walking tracks where there has been no loss of life. Maybe the people who cross this intersection to go to and from work by foot or push bike should request the upgrade.

Keep trying people and share on as we will get there.
