Hello everyone! Here's a little update on what's been happening at Poolesville (for parents who don't see the building every day):
- As of this morning, the tar truck is no longer in front of the building.
- However, the construction team has been tarring the roof and the tar fumes have returned in many parts of the building, which indicates that the construction workers aren't being careful enough to ensure tar and its fumes don't get into the building. Allergy season is in full swing and I've noticed that the lack of clean air in the building seems to be worsening many students' allergy symptoms as well.
I would also like to inform you that there is a community webinar regarding Poolesville construction happening tomorrow, April 18, from 6-7pm. I encourage you to attend if possible, as the more people who attend and ask questions, the more MCPS will know how many people are concerned about this.
