I am a resident of Suffolk, UK, and like many others in our community, I have experienced the negative impacts of poorly maintained roads. Our vehicles are suffering damage due to the state of disrepair that these roads are in. Furthermore, inadequate drainage systems have led to flooding in our homes.

Suffolk's road network is vital for our daily lives - for commuting to work or school, visiting family and friends, or accessing healthcare and other services. It is unacceptable that we should face such issues due to lack of proper maintenance.

According to data from the Department for Transport (DfT), one in five local roads in England and Wales could be unusable by 2024 if they are not fixed urgently. This statistic highlights the urgency with which we need action taken on this issue.

We request that local authorities take immediate action by implementing comprehensive repairs on existing roadways and ensuring suitable drainage systems are put into place. This will not only protect our vehicles but also prevent further flooding incidents affecting our homes.
