Our family had a terrifying incident where we were almost hit by a speeding car in our neighborhood. This close call has made us realize the urgent need for traffic calming measures on Dennis Drive in Smithville, ON. Speeding vehicles pose a significant risk to pedestrians, especially children and seniors who are more vulnerable. According to Transport Canada, speed is a contributing factor in approximately 27% of fatal crashes.

We urge the local authorities to implement measures such as speed bumps, increased signage, and enhanced police patrols to ensure the safety of all residents. Please sign this petition to make our neighborhood safer for everyone.
