It's a personal matter to me as there are people around the globe, not everyone, who litter the environment, often unknowing of the damage it causes. This harm could be mitigated if people would simply deposit their trash properly. More so, they need to understand and follow the Seven R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, Repair, Regift, and Rethink. We've seen that following just three Rs is not enough; our world is still filled with discarded trash. But if everyone actively engages in all the seven R's, we could substantially decrease the amount of litter on our planet.

Littering not only blemishes our natural world but also gravely affects our ecosystem. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, litter can pose a threat to human health, wildlife, and waterways. It's time to instill a more comprehensive system to counteract this issue.
