According to the 'Crime in India 2019' statistics released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), every 16 minutes, a woman in India is subjected to rape, highlighting the pressing need for stringent laws. Despite such alarming data, the existing system often fails to deliver justice appropriately, thus emboldening the criminals further.

We request the Indian Government to review and revise the existing laws relating to the punishment of sexual assault perpetrators. It's high time that our judicial system start meting out stricter punishment, including the death penalty, for such atrocities, sending out a strong message against such heinous acts.
