I am a concerned parent living in Cowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne. Every day, I fear for the safety of my children and other pedestrians due to reckless drivers who run red lights at three specific locations - Two Ball Lonnen Fenham opposite Morrisons and Netherby Drive by One Stop and  stamfordham road  by fenham fish bar . I have personally had several near-miss incidents with these careless drivers.

The local police have suggested that if we can gather enough support from the community, we can petition the council to install speed cameras at these dangerous intersections. Speed cameras are proven to reduce speeding and related accidents significantly. According to a study by the RAC Foundation (UK), speed cameras reduce accidents by an average of 16% and fatal or serious accidents by 28%.

This is not just about me or my children; it's about everyone who walks our streets every day. We need your help to make our roads safer for pedestrians in Cowgate and fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne.
