Our children, little angels who fill our neighborhood of Armour Hills, Kansas City with joy, laughter, and hope for the future, continuously face a dangerous threat. In our peaceful block of W 70th St alone, nearly 20 innocent souls under the age of 8 can be found playing and running around, their happiness often jarred by the fear of fast-moving cars. Too many times, we've witnessed cars recklessly speeding down our streets, posing a threat to our children.

According to the World Health Organization, road traffic incidents are the leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 5-29 years. With the current situation on our streets, our fear that one of our beloved kids could fall victim to this statistic is distressingly realistic. The roads in a residential neighborhood like ours should not be a danger zone, especially since it is largely a domicile for young parents and their children.

 
Therefore, we address our city's officials with this urgent plea: implement speed bumps in Armour Hills, Kansas City. This is not an extravagant request but a necessary measure to keep our children safe. By simply installing these speed bumps, we can significantly reduce the threat posed by speedy vehicles and ensure our children's safety.
