Implement Noise Control Measures in West Seattle's Lincoln Park

The Issue

As a resident of West Seattle, I am deeply disturbed by the constant noise pollution in our beloved Lincoln Park. The incessant screaming of children, barking dogs, and complaints from self-entitled neighbors whining about Pickleball have shattered the tranquility that once defined this park. This is not just my personal grievance; many others share this sentiment.

Noise pollution has been linked to numerous health issues including stress, sleep disturbances, and even heart disease (source: World Health Organization). Furthermore, according to a survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2017, noise was the number one complaint among urban residents across America.

We are calling on local authorities to implement effective noise control measures within Lincoln Park. These could include designated quiet zones or specific times for louder activities. By doing so we can restore peace and serenity to our park while still allowing everyone to enjoy it.

This is not about banning children or pets from enjoying outdoor spaces; it's about creating an environment where all can coexist harmoniously without infringing upon each other's peace.

Please join us in urging our local government officials to take action on this issue that affects so many of us living near Lincoln Park. Sign this petition today!
