Implement Measures to Combat YouTube's ever worsening porn bot problem.

Implement Measures to Combat YouTube's ever worsening porn bot problem.
The Issue
I am an avid follower of various YouTubers and over time, I've noticed a concerning trend invading the comments sections: the proliferation of porn bots. Simultaneously, it feels as if YouTube is ignoring this escalating issue. For all of us who cherish interactions and discussions in the comments sections, we wish to see this alarming concern addressed, not by disabling the comments sections entirely, but by implementing effective measures to stop porn bots.
This bot issue is not limited to just a few channels, but has widespread implications. Many users are dealing with these nuisances; they manipulate the platform and detract from its purpose: creativity, sharing, and building a positive and safe community.
ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority ) lists that in 2020, 27% of respondents mentioned unwanted explicit content as a severe issue they face online (ACMA, 2020). We believe that a part of this problem is due to the uncontrolled porn bots on platforms like YouTube.
The bot issue not only disrupts the enjoyment of consuming content, but also raises severe concerns about user safety, particularly amongst younger users. As a community of YouTube viewers and creators, we demand that YouTube take immediate action.
It is now high time that YouTube invests in strategies or systems to identify and eliminate these unsolicited bots. And prevent new ones from popping up out of my nowhere. By creating a safer virtual environment, they can ensure that the platform remains a positive space for true users to view, interact and enjoy videos.
It is up to us, to voice out against the negligence and compel YouTube to address this concern. Let's join together and sign this petition to stop the porn bot problem on YouTube. Let's make YouTube a better, safer space for every user. Ignoring is not solving. Sign today, for a better YouTube tomorrow.
