The Issue

It has become increasingly crucial to maintain privacy and uphold conduct standards among contract workers. Currently, at Camp-A-Wyle, contract workers can freely access sensitive, private information without any oversight. The lack of safeguards exposes potential misuse of confidential data and breaches of conduct. As per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, contract workers make up 3.8 percent of all employment, illustrating the large magnitude of potential risk (Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2020). Hence, it is of utmost importance that we require all contract workers to sign a privacy agreement and a code of conduct agreement, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and the potential consequences of violating these terms. Furthermore, to ensure these agreements' effectiveness, it is necessary that contract workers not be given a key to access confidential information without the presence of a board member. This step towards a systematic and vigilant mechanism would not only secure private information but also create an environment of trust. Let's call on the Board, to enforce this important change.
