Implement Entrepreneurship Education Program (EEP) in Public High Schools

The Issue

As someone who aspired to start my own business, I understand the complexities and overwhelming barriers young entrepreneurs often face. The need for practical knowledge on starting and managing businesses is significant and often overlooked in our educational system. It's why I propose the "Entrepreneurship Education Program" (EEP) to be established in public high schools.

Equivalent to the support provided in the JROTC, the EEP would equip young people with vital business acumen and skills. Not only will this program help foster creative thinking and innovation, but it also nurtures economic development. According to a 2016 report by the Kauffman Foundation, startups create an average of 3 million American jobs annually and have been responsible for almost all net new job creation in the U.S. since 1980.

Yet, the path to entrepreneurship remains virtually inaccessible to most young people due to the lack of educational opportunities and guidance. The EEP aims to bridge this gap by providing resources, support, and empowering young entrepreneurs to succeed in today's competitive business environment.

We cannot ignore the potential of our ambitious young minds. Thus, we need our education system to reflect and support their entrepreneurial aspirations. Let's advocate for the integration of the Entrepreneurship Education Program in our public high schools, creating an environment not just for learning, but also for innovating and leading. Please sign this petition and join me in championing this cause.
