Big thanks to every one of you who has supported our campaign for safer Gorge Road. With your backing, we’re making waves— I've recently spoken on both ABC and 5AA to shed light on our cause. But it doesn't stop here, in the next few weeks, I aim to hand-deliver our petition to Minister Koutsantonis, making our collective voice impossible to ignore.
The talk on 5AA and ABC revealed a stark truth: the current solutions, like planting trees as barriers, are far from sufficient. When pressed for effective alternatives, such as barriers or a speed camera, the response from DIT’s CEO was lacking. It’s a clear reminder that we need to push harder for meaningful action.
What’s the value of a life? Surely, it transcends the cost of installing proper safety measures such as a fixed speed camera and safety barriers.
I urge you to keep sharing our petition and spreading the word. Have you heard our discussions on ABC and 5AA? If not, I encourage you to listen. They highlight the urgency and importance of our fight.
