As frequent travellers between Malaga, Spain and Malta, we understand the challenges faced due to the lack of a direct flight route. This issue affects not only those travelling for leisure but also many professionals commuting for work purposes. A significant number of companies have offices in both locations, making this route a regular necessity for their employees.

The current situation forces us to take connecting flights which are time-consuming and often lead to delays or missed connections. According to Eurostat data, Spain and Malta are among the top 20 countries with the highest intra-EU air passenger transport (Eurostat, 2019). With such high demand, it is surprising that no direct flight option exists yet.

We believe that implementing a direct flight route between Malaga and Malta will greatly benefit both leisure travellers and working professionals by saving time and reducing travel-related stress. It will also foster better business relations between companies operating in these two regions.
