Implement daily Suprabhatam & OM chanting in Hindu temples through loud speakers

Implement daily Suprabhatam & OM chanting in Hindu temples through loud speakers
The Issue
Growing up in a Hindu community, I've witnessed an unsettling decline in core values and harmonious interactions among fellow Hindus. This change is not only worrying but deeply personal, as it signifies a shift away from the principles that once bound us together. Deteriorating discipline, values, culture, and communal harmony have led to a lack of trust within the community. This erosion is further compounded by what feels like an increase in lethargy, excessive oral and verbal freedom, and a lack of respect towards deities. It is our personal concern that urges me to call upon everyone to come together to establish these practices as a must.
To address this growing concern, I propose that all Hindu temples should implement the daily playing of "Suprabhatam" in the mornings and incorporate "Omkaram" chantings at least five times a day through loud speakers. These practices are akin to those in other religions, where prayer houses follow regular routines that help recall and remember the divine, thereby fostering spiritualism within their communities. By introducing these practices, we can reignite a sense of discipline and communal harmony among Hindus, ensuring that the core values of our faith are preserved.
Implementing these changes is both realistic and actionable. Temples can easily integrate audio systems to play these sacred chants, and the community can come together in support, offering both financial assistance and volunteer time to make it happen. Furthermore, these practices have historical precedent and significant cultural value, providing a foundation that our ancestors have followed for generations.
We urge temple authorities, community leaders, and government bodies to support this initiative, seeing it not as a burden, but as an opportunity to rejuvenate and strengthen our spiritual ties. By taking this small yet impactful step, we can begin to heal the fractures within our community, reinstate mutual respect, and cultivate a nurturing environment where Hindu values thrive once more.
Please sign this petition to show your support for implementing these crucial changes in temples nationwide. Together, we can revitalize the essence of Hindu culture and ensure its values live on for future generations.
