Hi guys,

It's been quite a while since my last update. Unfortunately, the House of Representatives petition that set up didn't reach the required number of signatures for a ministerial response. Perhaps we should wait until we've gathered more signatures here before Take #2.

I'm still waiting for a ministerial response to the Queensland Parliament CIR petition. I'm hoping that it will come through very soon. If any of you find a CIR petition to one of the other state/territory parliaments, please share the link in the comments.

If any of you are interested in reviving momentum on this petition, please chip in some money. Don't feel pressured to do so, it's entirely up to you.

Apart from that, I have discovered a new House of Reps petition that someone has set up. It is titled "Petition EN8530 - The need for direct democracy in major Australian policies". It is quite relevant to our mission as it essentially calls for citizen-initiated referendums. I highly recommend signing and sharing this. I've pasted the link below. I'm glad that somebody has taken the time to do this and hope that it will be more successful than my attempt.
