I have an update for anyone who lives in Queensland. Yesterday, I set up a separate petition on change.org that calls on the QLD Parliament to restore its Legislative Council (upper house). One of the reasons why I'm sharing my other petition here is that it would require a state referendum, citizen-initiated or otherwise. This creates an inherent link with this one.

On another note, the CIR petition on the Queensland Parliament website is still open. It will close at midnight on 24/08/2025. Please share this with any Queenslanders you know. It has so far received 942 signatures and will eventually receive a ministerial response. I'll provide an update on that when it happens.
