Hi again,
I should mention that there are at least 5 political parties in Australia that support citizen-initiated referenda. They are One Nation, the Libertarians, Socialist Alliance, Sustainable Australia Party, and the Great Australian Party.
I will make sure to inform these parties about this petition. You may disagree with them on other matters or dislike them for whatever reason, but they can still help us achieve victory here.
The Libertarians hold one seat each in the Legislative Councils of NSW and Victoria. They also have local councillors in those same states (10 in NSW, 2 in VIC). One Nation now have four senators, two MLCs in WA, one MLC in Victoria, and 8 councillors spread across Tasmania, NSW, Victoria, and South Australia. The Sustainable Australia Party has one councillor from the Campbelltown City Council (NSW) and one from the Victoria Park Town Council (WA). Lastly, The Socialist Alliance currently has one councillor for the City of Merri-bek Council (Melbourne). So as you can see, four of the five parties that support CIRs also have elected representatives, which can be used to the advantage of this petition.
If you happen to be a constituent of an elected representative from one of these parties, please contact them regarding this petition. Otherwise, you can contact your state or federal MP, state MLC, or Senator to ask where they stand on citizen-initiated referendums and if they will support our petition. Thank you. It will mean a lot.
Don't forget to chip in some money to help promote this petition. Please note that if you give $40 or $75, it will go twice as usual. This will make for either 500 or 938 views respectively. However much you give, thanks in advance.
