Implement Chess Clubs in Every School Nationwide

Implement Chess Clubs in Every School Nationwide
The Issue
Chess, an ancient board game believed to have originated in northern India, not only serves as a source of entertainment but also has numerous cognitive benefits. Research shows that chess can help improve problem-solving skills, enhance memory and creativity, and foster strategic thinking. Despite these benefits, many schools across the country do not have chess clubs. Our children deserve the opportunity to enjoy and learn from this enriching game. Chess also bridges the socio-economic gap as it is a low-cost activity that does not require expensive equipment or special venues. Thus, we are calling on education authorities to implement chess clubs in every school nationwide. Let's open the door to new learning opportunities for our children! Please sign this petition to champion the cause of chess clubs in every school.
One in every five children plays Chess. That means that in a school of 1,000 people, there are 200 people who play Chess. Not only does Chess help build friendships, it also increases IQ.
Chess has been shown to raise student's overall IQ scores. A Venezuelan study involving 4,000 second grade students found a significant increase in their IQ scores after only 4.5 months of systematically studying chess. Tournament chess games, which bind each player to make his move within the stipulated time, hone one's ability to perform under pressure, mimicking environments of most school and competitive exams.
Giving the future of the world a chance to experience new things is what we need to do.
