The issue

Our oceans are choking. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, an immense vortex of marine litter, poses dire and imminent threats to marine life, pushing them teetering dangerously towards extinction. As people who firmly believe in the power of small actions to bring about enormous changes, we strive to salvage this crisis that revolves around every living creature big and small - from the tiniest fish to the biggest whale. Our aim is to gift every sea creature a life free from the perils of waste.

We have discovered a possible solution - a submarine powered by biomass energy capable of cleaning up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, with a mechanical press and biomass machine inside it. This green-solution doesn't only fight against ocean pollution but also champions sustainable energy sources, there by reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

According to a study from Scientific Reports, the Garbage Patch covers 1.6 million square kilometers, an area twice the size of Texas or three times the size of France. Scientists estimate that it contains 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic, weighing about 80,000 metric tons.

How long more can we tolerate our actions causing such turmoil in marine biodiversity? How many more species have to suffer before we act? We need global recognition of this problem and the immediate implementation of this innovative, feasible solution. Let's remember, we all share this Earth. The ripple effect of our collective efforts will indeed create waves of change. Sign this petition to fight for immediate action for the implementation of the biomass-powered submarine solution. Together, we can and will save our oceans.
