As a resident of Stillwater, OK, I am personally affected by the city's monopoly on electricity. The rates charged by the City of Stillwater are exorbitantly high and many residents struggle to afford keeping their power on. This is not just an issue affecting me; it affects our entire community.

AEP/PSO offers much more affordable rates that would make electricity accessible for all residents. In comparison to the current situation where many are forced to choose between necessities due to high costs of city electricity, this change would significantly improve quality of life in our town.

According to data from the U.S Energy Information Administration (EIA), Oklahoma has one of the lowest average residential electricity rates in the country. However, this is not reflected in our bills due to the city's monopoly over power supply.

We believe that introducing AEP/PSO as a competitor can bring about fair pricing and better service for all residents. Competition encourages efficiency and innovation which will ultimately benefit us as consumers.

We call upon local authorities and regulatory bodies to consider this plea seriously. Let's end this monopoly and bring affordable power supply options like AEP/PSO into Stillwater, OK.
