Implement a Two-State Solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Implement a Two-State Solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
The Issue
As an individual who empathizes deeply with the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, I am a Muslim who shares friendship with Christians, unifying us is our mutual desire for peace between Israelis and Palestinians. This issue is one that crosses religious and cultural boundaries and calls out to our shared humanity.
Currently, an estimated 4.7 million Palestinians are classified as refugees, facing extreme living conditions, and about 2.8 million Israelis live just within 40 kilometers of the Gaza strip, enduring constant security concerns (UNRWA). These are not merely numbers; these are families, children, elders - whose lives are clouded with fear, uncertainty, and suffering.
There is an urgent and broader need to revisit the two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict - an arrangement that is built on mutual coexistence and respects the aspirations of both parties. Under international law, it is recognized that both Israelis and Palestinians possess the inalienable right to self-determination. Hence, realization of a two-state solution can turn around decades-old narratives of fear and enmity, instead fostering a climate of trust and respect.
In unity, let's implore the international community, human rights bodies, and governments worldwide to engage constructively with this issue and vouch for a two-state resolution that protects fundamental human rights and paves the way for sustained peace. Sign the petition. Every signature brings us one step closer to a peaceful coexistence.
