A Major Win: The Human Tissue Bill Has Passed!

Dear supporters,
I wanted to share a major update with you.
Today, the Human Tissue Bill was passed in Parliament.
This bill is important because it helps create a clearer legal framework for organ and tissue donation in Barbados. For kidney patients and their families, it represents hope for a stronger, safer and more organised transplant system.
This is a huge moment for Barbados, and an important step forward for kidney patients, transplant patients, families, advocates and everyone who has been calling for progress in our healthcare system.
When this petition was started, the hope was simple: to show that people in Barbados cared deeply about improving the transplant system, and that patients deserved better options, clearer pathways and real change.
Because of your signatures, your shares, your comments, your conversations and your support, this issue was not ignored.
This is a major win.
Thank you to every single person who signed, shared, encouraged, challenged, supported and believed that Barbados could move forward on this. Your voice mattered.
Today, we celebrate a step in the right direction for patients and families across Barbados.
With hope and gratitude,
Tisha Jones
