Implement a Merged Alliance Chat
The Issue
As members of this thriving game, we often find ourselves splintered due to the limitations of the current game systems. This personal story began when our gaming group outgrew the designated alliance size and we were forced to divide among now three separate Alliance groups. The unfortunate side effect of this progression was the weakening of our core communication, and the loss of open interaction between friends. Now, our communication is seemingly restricted to that of:
- World Chat (not good for privacy)
- Private messaging (not good for group chatting, and can lead to a game of telephone and misconstrued information transfer)
- Third-party platforms (which is tedious when it comes to communicating on the fly)
We believe that there is a better way, and we respectfully request for it to be implemented.
In this digital era, user experience and connectivity are of prime importance. The Harvard Business Review noted in 'The Age of Continuity in Online Gaming' that connectivity between players increases game engagement by up to 20% (HBR, 2021). So the ability for two Alliance Leaders to have the option to merge their Alliance Group Chats allowing for the allied groups to harness this imperative of connectivity and strengthen larger community interaction within game, thereby improving the overall morale of players, server interactive engagement, and over all gaming experience, would only make sense.
To address this, we are calling on the game developers to incorporate a feature that allows for the merger of Alliance group chats. A toggle setting that Alliance Leaders could use to merge with a selected Alliance Chat. If both alliances have this setting toggled it would allow members of both Alliances to see the other's chat feed in real time. This implementation would benefit not only our group but countless others across all servers who have faced similar challenges. It would improve our shared gaming experience and maintain the spirit of unity and cooperation we cherish in our gaming community.
So, we kindly ask you to support our cause and sign this petition, requesting a function for merged Alliance chats for allied groups to better maintain those connections and not have to choose between friends and success, because and alliance has grown beyond the limitation of the game.
