A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, and supported this petition so far. Your collective effort has already made a meaningful impact—bringing this issue to the attention of both the former Queensland Labor Government’s Transport Minister and the current LNP Government through our local Redlands MP.
We’re pleased to share that Rebecca Young, MP, and our local Redlands City Councillor, Julie Talty, have both shown genuine support for this initiative. Rebecca Young has continued to advocate on our behalf, raising the matter directly with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in her regular meetings. While we haven’t yet seen a formal outcome, the conversation is active and ongoing—thanks to your continued engagement.
Now, we can build even more momentum. You can help by sharing this petition with your neighbours, friends across Redland Bay, and anyone who believes in better public transport options. Every signature strengthens our voice and helps move us closer to real change—greater choice, improved connectivity, and less time spent in traffic.
Encouragingly, progress is being made in parallel. A proposal has been put forward to extend bus routes 280/281 into The Reserve at Shoreline, which would significantly improve access for residents in that growing community.
Together, we’re making a difference—thank you for being part of it!
