As resident numbers increase on the development, the number of signatories to our petition, and the impact it is having, is increasing. Now approaching 550 signatures, the request for a southbound bus service from Shoreline is being noticed with our State MP regularly raising the matter with TMR.
With existing southbound services requiring a trip northbound to change for a southbound service (!), and travel times in excess of an hour for what takes twenty minutes by car, commuters are struggling to make their daily journeys to join the busway into the city. A northbound service to the CBD can take two hours or more!
Without a regular, affordable (easier with 50c fares), and reliable service that goes where people need to be, more cars are added to the local, inadequate roads, more pollution enters the atmosphere, and travellers are left with little choice but to use their own vehicles.
Public transport should be considered a necessity for new developments and TMR need to at least trial a service.
If you've neighbours who've not signed, please refer them to the petition and keep the momentum going!
Thank you for your continued support.
