My son, who is only 8 years old, recently started attending school at Oxford Falls Grammar. As a working parent running a business, it's challenging to find the time to pick him up every day. Moreover, the current transportation system requires him to take three separate buses just to get home - an overwhelming task for such young children.

This issue doesn't just affect my family; it impacts all young students aged 5-12 at our school. Unlike their older counterparts who have access to a direct bus route, these youngsters are forced into an exhausting and potentially dangerous journey every day. They must navigate multiple bus changes and cross an extremely busy main road - tasks far beyond what should be expected of them at their age.

The addition of a direct bus route from the school to our community would not only alleviate these concerns but also significantly improve the safety and well-being of our children. It's crucial that we prioritize their needs and ensure they can travel home safely without unnecessary stress or risk.

According to the school, if we have the student numbers and community support, it’s possible the local transport authorities may be able to implement a direct bus route for our younger students.
