Friends & Supporters:
DHS has granted another extension of 2 months so that Javier does not need to report again to the Miramar office of DHS/ICE in Miramar - which has always been such a harrowing experience for all of us. Our case continues before the 11th Circuit Court Ct of Appeals in Atlanta, as we continue to argue the illegality & violations of rules & procedures in both the expedited order of removal issued against Javier in December of 2001 & the government’s recent efforts to reinstate this order.
We are very thankful for the support of everyone in this compelling case. I know Javier wants me to thank everyone who has approached him with kind words, prayers, and support. We continue to work towards a fair resolution in his important case & continue with our discussions with government counsel to hopefully achieve such a result.
We are thankful Javier does not have to go through this weekend worrying about yet another check-in at DHS on Monday. Thank you again for the kind words, messages, and support.
