Immediate Release of the June 30 Putnam County Commission Meeting Video

Immediate Release of the June 30 Putnam County Commission Meeting Video
The Issue
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that:
The full, unedited video recording of the June 30, 2025, Putnam County Commission meeting be posted publicly on the County’s YouTube channel or otherwise made available within 24 hours of this petition’s submission.
The video must include all portions recorded before, during, and after the official meeting without omissions or delays to establish transparency and public trust.
Background:
On June 30, Putnam County Young Democrats members attended the commission meeting peacefully.
Vice President Trenton Strode and member Aaron Cofer were detained despite their legal and orderly conduct.
Historically, Putnam County has made each month’s meeting video available the day following the meeting. This practice has not been followed for June’s meeting.
Why This Matters:
Transparency: Citizens deserve full access to public proceedings.
Accountability: Video evidence clarifies events and protects all parties.
Trust: Timely posting demonstrates the County’s commitment to open government.
We appreciate Putnam County’s long-standing practice of sharing meeting recordings and ask that you continue this commitment without exception.
We call on Putnam County Government to release all June 30th recordings immediately.
