Immediate Action Required for Lobby AC Repair

The Issue

For over 3 weeks, the lobby at 110 Horatio Street has had no working air conditioning. As of today, temperatures have reached 100 degrees, and still no repair company has arrived—just a few fans trying to combat dangerous heat.

This isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a health and safety issue for our front desk staff, who are expected to sit for hours in heavy uniforms with little airflow or relief. It’s also unacceptable for residents, especially during heat waves and extreme weather conditions.

110 Horatio is a doorman building, and tenants have every right to expect basic comfort and safe working conditions for staff. We’ve spoken with multiple residents who share the same concerns, and many of us have lived here for years—we’ve never seen such disregard for the well-being of building employees and tenants.

If this continues, we will report the matter to NYC 311 and relevant housing authorities.

We are calling for:

A clear timeline and update on AC repair
Temporary cooling solutions that are effective and immediate
A permanent fix without further delay

This petition is about basic respect, dignity, and responsibility. Our staff deserves better. Our community deserves transparency and action.
