Rob Feldman started this petition to iHeartMedia and

In the face of overwhelming evidence that pop star Michael Jackson sexually abused children as young as 7-years-old, we ask iHeartMedia to stop playing his music.

iHeartMedia is the largest owner of radio stations in the United States, with control of more than 850 stations.  Thus, iHeartMedia has the power to dictate what we listen to as we drive, work, shop and dine.

Listeners to iHeartMedia stations do not have a choice to turn off individual songs in the manner that streaming service subscribers can.  Michael Jackson's music has the power to hurt victims of abuse by exposing them to his music.

Radio stations in Canada have already taken the lead in silencing broadcasts of Michael Jackson's music.  We ask iHeartMedia to follow that lead and take a stand for victims in the U.S.

Further, we do not want Michael Jackson's work to continue to benefit his estate.

If people feel the need to listen to the works of Michael Jackson, there are plenty of outlets where they may continue to do so.  But radio listeners should not be forced to listen to music created on the suffering of children.
