The same concern keeps coming through from people sharing their experiences: they felt unheard, misdiagnosed, or sent away when they knew something was not right.

Patients know their own bodies. They may not know the diagnosis, but they know when something has changed, when pain is different, or when they are not being taken seriously.

This campaign is calling for patients and families to be treated as partners in care. Concerns should be listened to, documented and properly assessed before assumptions are made.

The message is simple:

Listen before you dismiss.

Treat the whole person.

Respect the patient’s knowledge of their own body.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their experience. Your stories are helping show that this is not one isolated concern. It is a pattern that deserves attention and change.
